Cinque Terre

This was one of the best days of our trip. The "Cinque Terre" means "five lands" and is an area of the coast that has five beautiful and charming towns within less than 10km. We spent all day and hiked between all of the towns. I can't even describe how beautiful it was. We were just exclaiming all day how unbelievable it was. I must admit, however, that we stopped for gelato a couple times.
I loved this lone red rock among the sea of gray rocks.

I loved this hand painted sign

Just like on Sicily the wildflowers were in full bloom. It was incredible. Just imagine this many flowers in every direction.

This was the craziest flavor of gelato we ate - chocolate with chili pepper. It tasted like normal chocolate, but then had a spicy after-taste that left some heat in your mouth. Yummy!

This is the city, Riomaggiore, where we spent the night.

This is Manarola.

This city is Vernazza. After dinner we climbed up the trail in the dark for some night views. Beautiful!

I gotta say....it's REALLY hard not to covet your experiences. We are sitting and asking ourselves, "Why did we come back?" We still haven't found an answer....

I love Cinque Terre. So beautiful.

I was just telling Jeff that you and Scooter are losers, just because I am jealous of your incredible experience in Europe! :) Wish I was there!

And you really aren't losers, you are both amazing!

I'm pretty sure you've been living in a fairy-tale for the past few weeks. It all looks AMAZING! Can't wait to hear all about it.

Hi! I found your blog through Kevin and Lindsey's. TJ and I went to Boliva with Scooter - so we saw your picture and heard all about you! It looks like you two are having an awesome adventure! We are definitely jealous! Hope you are having a blast!
